Frequently asked questions
Reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you are struggling with anxiety, OCD, panic attacks, or phobias. When you contact Lamb Psychological Services, I personally return calls Monday–Thursday within 24–72 hours.
During our initial phone consultation, we will:
• Discuss your current symptoms (anxiety, obsessive thoughts, compulsions, avoidance, etc.)
• Review your goals for therapy
• Explore whether Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) may be a good fit
• Determine next steps for scheduling an intake session (telehealth or in-person)
The consultation is collaborative and designed to help you make an informed decision about beginning treatment.
As of January 1, 2026:
• Intake session (90 minutes): $190
• Ongoing therapy sessions (45–50 minutes): $165
Lamb Psychological Services is a fee-for-service private practice specializing in evidence-based treatment for anxiety disorders and OCD. Payment is due at the time of session.
Payment methods accepted:
• Credit card via Ivy Pay
• Check (made payable to Lamb Psychological Services, LLC)
I strive to provide high-quality, research-supported therapy while keeping fees as reasonable as possible.
I do not participate directly with insurance panels. However:
• I provide detailed documentation (superbills)
• Clients may submit claims to their insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement
If you are seeking out-of-network reimbursement for anxiety or OCD therapy, I am happy to discuss what documentation is provided.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based treatment for:
• Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
• Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
• Panic disorder
• Social anxiety
• Specific phobias
• Trichotillomania and other Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs)
CBT focuses on identifying and changing patterns of thinking and behavior that maintain anxiety.
Treatment may include:
• Cognitive restructuring
• Inference-Based CBT
• Anxiety sensitivity interventions
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) strategies
• Family systems work (reducing accommodation behaviors)
CBT is structured, collaborative, and skills-based.
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is considered the gold-standard treatment for OCD and anxiety disorders in both children and adults.
ERP works by:
• Gradually facing feared situations, thoughts, or sensations
• Reducing avoidance behaviors
• Preventing compulsive responses
• Building distress tolerance and confidence
Exposure exercises are:
• Planned collaboratively
• Gradual and structured
• Always voluntary
• Tailored to your specific symptoms
With repeated and supported exposure, anxiety decreases and confidence increases. We will carefully review whether ERP is the most appropriate treatment approach for you or your child.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please leave a message as soon as possible.
Appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be charged the full session fee. As a small private practice, scheduling consistency is essential to maintaining availability for all clients.
At this time, I do not maintain a waitlist. Because anxiety and OCD symptoms can worsen without treatment, I encourage individuals to seek care promptly. Please check the website for current availability or reach out directly to discuss scheduling options.
