FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN I CONTACT YOU?
I understand making the first call can be tough. I speak with all clients to discuss their situation and reasons for seeking therapy. We'll discuss the options and collaborate on the next steps. I return calls Mondays-Thursdays within 24-72 hours.
WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?
As of January 1, 2025, the intake session (90 minutes) costs $190 and subsequent sessions (45-50 minutes) are $165. I am a fee-for-service practitioner and payment is expected at the time of the session. I do my best to keep fees as low as possible and work diligently with you to meet your goals.
I do not accept insurance and will provide documentation so that clients may submit claims to their insurance company. At this time, I only accept checks or credit cards through Ivy Pay. Checks are made out to Lamb Psychological Services, LLC.
WHAT IS COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY AND EXPOSURE WITH RESPONSE PREVENTION (ERP)?
There are various approaches that are used to facilitate psychotherapy, and I am trained in variety of treatment models that predominantly fall under the umbrella of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I utilize cognitive skills (Inference-Based CBT and Anxiety Sensitivity), family systems (Family Accommodations, modeling, and motivation), valued actions (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and psychodynamic techniques.

I strive to work collaboratively with you, or your child, and provide an atmosphere that is warm, engaging and supportive.

When working with anxieties or fears, I utilize cognitive behavioral techniques, in which we develop a plan to gradually increase your exposure to the situations that are distressing to you, or you are avoiding. As you gradually face the places and experiences that cause you distress, with prolonged and frequent exposures, you will notice that you are able to manage these experiences, and it becomes less stressful.
Participation in exposure situations is COMPLETELY in your, or your child’s, control and no one will force you to complete an exposure. This type of therapy is called Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy, which is one of the evidence-based treatments for anxiety and OCD and has shown to significantly reduce levels of distress and anxiety in children and adults. We will discuss this approach in great depth and determine if it is the best treatment approach for you.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation of appointments happens, and we do our best to reschedule. Please leave a message if you cannot make your appointment. As a small business owner, I rely on scheduling consistency and appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment time, will be charged the full cost of the session.
DO YOU KEEP A WAITLIST?
At this time, I do not keep a waitlist. There are many great clinicians, and I don't want anyone waiting for treatment. Please check my website for information about availability.
